Scott visits Mississipppi Thunder Speedway for Modified World Championship

Stormy Scott was among more than 90 Modified competitors converging on Mississippi Thunder Speedway over the weekend for the inaugural Modified World Championship.

Preliminary action spanned Wednesday through Friday ahead of Saturday’s six-figure finale. Scott showed steady improvement throughout the week, rebounding from a 14th-place finish on Thursday with a strong 19th-to-9th charge in Friday’s prelim.

Earning a spot in Saturday’s $100,025-to-win A-Main via a consolation race, Scott advanced nine positions in the 80-lap feature to finish 18th.
