Stormy Scott finishes fifth in USMTS' Amarillo Ambush at Route 66

Stormy Scott returned to familiar territory over the weekend as the stars of the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) rolled into Route 66 Motor Speedway for the two-day Amarillo Ambush.

After qualifying mid-pack on Friday, Scott rebounded with a strong showing in his heat race, advancing six positions to finish fourth. Lining up ninth for the feature, he gained three spots over the course of the main event to finish sixth.

On Saturday, Scott built on Friday's momentum with a heat race win that secured a favorable starting spot for the $5,000-to-win finale. He went on to post a fifth-place finish in the 50-lapper, following Kyle Strickler, Rodney Sanders, Reece Solander, and Tanner Mullens to the checkered flag.
