Stormy scores 12th-place finish in Dirt Track World Championship at PRP
Friday night found Stormy Scott in action at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) finale. With 63 Late Models on hand for the 40th annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship, Scott logged an 11th place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main on Saturday night for another shot at the main event.
Locking the Top 2 into the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship, Stormy gained seven spots in the 15-lap consolation event to finish eighth. Earning a provisional into the 100-lap affair, Stormy Scott advanced through the field 18 spots to come home 12th.
Stormy finished 14th in the final LOLMDS point standings.
