Stormy finishes 15th in Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway

After Mother Nature eliminated Thursday’s opener, Johnny and Stormy Scott were one of 47 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) on Friday for the 29th annual Comp Cams Topless 100. Stormy edged his way into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature with the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat while Johnny placed fifth. Needing to place third or better in his B-Main to make the show, Johnny posted a fifth-place finish. Stormy improved three spots in the 30-lap affair to finish 14th.

With his 14th-place finish on Friday, Stormy had already locked his spot into the $40,000-to-win Topless 100 on Saturday while Johnny was relegated into a B-Main. Locking the Top 3 into the finale, Johnny fell short with a sixth-place outing.

Rolling off 14th, Stormy lost one position in the 100-lapper to place 15th.
