Stormy Scott records Top-10 finish with World of Outlaws at Tri-City

After losing Wednesday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event to wet weather, Johnny Scott was one of 29 Late Models on the grounds at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Thursday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. On Saturday, Stormy joined his brother at the 3/8-mile oval as the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series invaded.

Stormy secured his spot into the main event with a third-place finish in his heat while Johnny placed fifth, relegating him into the B-Main. Outrunning Boom Briggs to pick up the 10-lap consolation victory, Johnny locked into the 17th-starting position for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Stormy held his spot to finish ninth while Johnny pulled off with eight laps remaining.
