12th-place finish in second round of Wild West Shootout
Las Cruces, New Mexico native Stormy Scott made the short trip to Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park over the weekend to kick off his 2025 season with the 19th annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts.
With a pair of features scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Scott failed to transfer into Saturday’s opener but was able to find his footing on Sunday afternoon.
Squeezing into Sunday’s $10,000-to-win A-Main with the final transfer spot in his heat race, Stormy muscled forward two positions in the 40-lap affair to register a 12th-place finish.
The Wild West Shootout continues on Thursday with four features spanning over four days.
