Stormy Scott Wins Whynot's Fall Classic in CDR No. 97 Modified
New Mexico Racer Captures $2,500 Victory
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (10/28/2025) – Stormy Scott made the most of an opportunity this weekend, driving the Cade Dillard Racing (CDR) No. 97s Modified to a commanding victory in the 31st annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi.
The Las Cruces, New Mexico native dominated Saturday’s Modified finale, leading the final 21 laps en route to his third win of the 2025 season and a $2,500 payday.
“This car was flawless all weekend and somehow got even better in the feature,” Scott said from victory lane. “I can’t thank Cade enough. He offered me a seat last weekend after I had engine issues, and then again this weekend. I’m really grateful for the chance to drive this car—it’s been a joy to drive.”
Scott’s weekend began Friday night, when 31 Modified competitors checked in for the two-day event at the quarter-mile oval. After clocking the seventh-fastest qualifying time, Scott powered to a heat race win—edging polesitter Ryan Fowler by just 0.280 seconds at the line.
Starting from third in Saturday’s A-Main, Scott needed just five laps to wrestle the lead from Mississippi’s Chase Holland. He maintained a steady pace the rest of the way, ultimately crossing the finish line 2.692 seconds ahead of Holland in the 25-lap affair.
The victory also marked consecutive wins for the CDR No. 97 machine. Just one week earlier, Cade Dillard piloted the same car to a $20,000 triumph in the Fall Classic at Vado Speedway Park in New Mexico.
